The principals actively involved in CRCI have been associated with the Clinical Trial process in the USA for the past decade. This experience has been complimented by experience in operating in foreign countries, navigating different bureaucratic processes and meeting the challenges of diverse cultures.


Walter A. Brown, MD, Co-Founder, CEO

After completing training in psychiatry and a fellowship in neuroendocrinology (brain hormones) Dr. Walter Brown has been at Brown University since 1974 in various capacities. In the early 1980s Dr. Brown carried out some clinical trials of psychiatric drugs, first in the hospital environment and later at community clinics. He went on to found Clinical Programs - one of the first free standing clinical trial sites in the world.On the basis of
Clinical Programs’ success, Dr. Brown co-founded a multi-center organization in 1990 called Clinical Studies, and it acquired Clinical Programs. Clinical Studies grew to become the largest and best known SMO, with 24 centers - including a phase I inpatient unit and about 300 employees.  Based on experiences with Clinical Studies in the US, in April of 2000 Dr. Brown co-founded Clinical Research Centres South Africa (CRC SA).


Mr. Max Moss, Co-Founder, President

Max Moss has specific experience in international marketing and business.  Born and educated in South Africa with a degree from the University of Cape Town in Mathematics/Statistics, Max has worked for a number of multi-national companies that include: NCR Corp in South Africa, South America, and the USA; IBM Corp EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa division) in sales and marketing; and SPL WorldGroup EMEA division in business development.

Max has extensive experience in setting up business operations in virgin territories and operating in both developed and developing countries. He has been instrumental in introducing products and services into new markets leading to the establishment of business operations in different countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. All these operations related to the establishment and maintenance of long term relationships with partners and customers in those different countries. Mr. Moss was instrumental in setting up CRCI's South African affiliate and is actively involved in the sales and marketing aspects of this organization, focusing on new business opportunities for CRCI as well as general marketing and sales related issues.


Lillian Wysong, Business Manager

Lillian has over 20 years experience in Accounting, Human Resources and Office Management. She started working for Dr. Brown at Clinical Programs in 1987 and remained through the sale to PhyMatrix for 12 years until 1999. She was instrumental in the start up of new sites for Clinical Studies. She provided support to all site directors/managers at Clinical Studies on policies, procedures and state documentation.  With her wealth of experience and knowledge, in August 2000, CRCI was pleased to make Lil the first corporate team member.  Lil has strived this year to maintain neutrality and peace in the Red Sox - Yankees rivalry since she has sons in both camps.


Kathy Autry, Director Business Development

Founder of Ancilla LLC, a Business Development Company for Independent USA Sites and the Business Development, Budgets and Contracts Director, exclusively for CRC INT.


Ram Shrivastava, MD
Associate Director, Clinical Research Centres India (CRC In)

Ram Shrivastava, MD founded Eastside Comprehensive Medical Center nearly thirty years ago, making it one of the first free standing clinical trial centers in the United States. Eastside Medical Center has conducted over five hundred clinical trials in various indications. More than fifty percent of those trials have become part of the NDA submission.  The site has been audited by various regulatory authorities such as the FDA, European Regulatory Agency and Japan's Ministry of Health, and was never issued a 483.


Luis Lombardi, MD, Director
Clinical Research Centres Guatemala

Dr. Lombardi received his medical and OB/GYN training in Guatemala.  He has attended numerous GCP training programs including certified program at the Harvard Medical School.  Dr. Lombardi has experience as a PI on FDA approved trials.


Alberto Tello, MD, Director
Clinical Research Centers Panama

In addition to holding a certification and clinical immunology, Dr. Alberto Tello is a certified pediatrician.  He is also a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.  the demand for his expertise brings him to three hospitals in the City of David, as well as a hospital in Santiago and another in Chitre.  His reputation made it possible for Panama to very quickly attract quality PIs for virtually every therapeutic area.
